Ideas/Development

So i've come up with a preliminary narrative:

"Night after night she waits. A face in a crowd of many, but alone she will remain"

I felt a key feature in this would be contrasts, as well as somehow convey a sense of struggle and on once side, incompletion and longing.

At first analysing the space inside the painting...

A little unclear i'm aware, but here are a few initial graphical ideas i had regarding the devision of the spaces within the painting. They communicate a notion of Choice, between enclosure and escape.

Also, they bring about questions regarding circulation and enclosure within the space. From observation, the enclosure can be seen graphically, but re. circulation, it's only really one of two. Despite an illusion of choice in where to sit, from where we are positioned as a viewer, we can either go into the cinema area or leave from the stairs. One has one direction and the other has many directions, leading to the same space with the same purpose.
You can see above a few ideas i've had regarding how to represent the ideas behind the narrative regarding spatial arrangements, possible 3D layouts etc.
